In the latest announcement, the company has disclosed details of its Annual Pass, which now can be purchased using Bitcoin. The move positions Virgin Voyages as a pioneer, offering the world’s first cruise product with a cryptocurrency payment option.
The Virgin Voyages Annual Pass offers unlimited cruising for an entire calendar year, allowing passengers to “hop onto any ship, anytime, from anywhere”. Priced at $120,000, excluding taxes and fees, the pass provides unparalleled flexibility and luxury.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis until March 31, 2025, it ensures a year-long spot in a sea terrace cabin. Travel agents stand to benefit too, with potential commissions of up to $10,000 per sale.
In September, the crypto-native travel platform Travala partnered with Skyscanner, which allows to access Travala.com’s inventory of over 2.2 million hotels. This partnership underscores the rising influence of cryptocurrencies in the travel industry.
