US lawmaker Mike Collins has revealed that he holds Altcoins AERO, VELO and GRT in his investment disclosure filed with the House of Representatives from July to August.
Collins disclosed purchases of up to $15,000 in Velodrome (VELO), up to $15,000 in The Graph and up to $115,000 in Aerodrome Finance (AERO) as his investments. Collins, who represented Georgia’s 10th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives in 2023, sold some of his AERO holdings on August 4 and bought again between $15,001 and $50,000 on August 5.

The investment disclosure is a mandatory electoral maneuver as he is running to maintain his seat in 2024 during the US elections. Collins, who is a Republican, shows off his crypto stance , especially at a time when the crypto community seeks to find support for the crypto industry from politicians and also understand what would be in store for the industry. Collins in a classic ‘walk-the-talk’ move, demonstrates a genuine interest and belief in cryptocurrencies. President Trump, too, had managed to get the crypto community’s attention as he wants Bitcoin to be mined in the USA, and also opposed introducing a central bank digital currency at a recent crypto conference. He even revealed his crypto investments of $1 Million in a personal disclosure.
Democrats, on the other hand, have been covert with regard to crypto policy, however, have suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris will support policies to expand the crypto industry.
