Binance has teamed up with The Weeknd to host the first-ever web3-based music world tour. Named “After Hours Til Dawn,” the world tour is slated for the 8th of July. Binance hopes to enhance the fan experience of this tour through various web3 features like NFTs, virtual events, and several more unique ideas.
For those unaware, Binance is the largest crypto exchange in the world by market cap. The exchange has onboarded millions of users from more than 100 countries within five years of its establishment. As per our Binance review, the exchange currently supports 100+ trading pairs with 19 fiat currencies.
Lately, Binance has been working towards introducing cryptos in various areas through partnerships and collaborations. The platform has already acquired several Fintech and exchange firms from countries like Singapore to help move towards this goal. Now, Binance seems to have closed one of the biggest web3 deals from the music industry.
The exchange has partnered with the four-time Grammy Award winner The Weeknd for a world tour with web3 enhancements. As the tour will begin in July, Binance has planned to introduce several web3 -based features like NFTs, virtual tickets, and unique events. On top of that, fans also stand a chance to receive exclusive merchandise from The Weeknd.

XHOUSE, a think-center and community incubator, has been brought in to work on this NFT collection for the tour named “After Hours Till Dawn.” The NFTs are to be launched alongside the co-branded merchandise from Binance and The Weeknd.
In addition to the exclusive NFTs, the virtual tickets given to the fans will also be used to receive commemorative NFTs. These NFTs will then be used to get access to exclusive after events and unlock other unique experiences.
To mark this new venture, Binance announced a donation of $2 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund. In addition to that, the singer has developed a collaboration with the exchange for another special NFT connection. Binance will also be donating 5% of the proceeds from the special NFTs to the fund.
The XO Humanitarian Fund was founded by The Weekend after he became Global Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme. Currently run by World Food Program USA, the fund is carrying out life-saving missions in hunger hotspots worldwide.
The exchange has not shared the schedule for the launch of the NFTs and merchandise yet. It is likely to drop anytime in the next couple of weeks, given the small time window before the world tour begins.
