According to the official blog post by Polygon on the 15th of March, the network is teaming up with Spatial Labs. Also known as sLabs, this project will develop hardware and gadgets that would make accessing the metaverse simple and efficient. Polygon’s infrastructural benefits like speed and cost-effectiveness have propelled this innovative project to choose Polygon. Apart from that, the layer-2 solution has also established itself as a go-to solution for developing dApps in recent times.
Spatial Labs is an innovative project that has invested its interest in growing areas like the metaverse. Based in California, sLABS was founded by the Ghanaian digital architect Iddris Sandu. This project intends to build wearables that would act as what is known as “physical entry points” to the metaverse. The most recent product of sLABS goes by the name LNQ. Apparently, this new product would blur the line between fashion and technology. sLABS would launch wearables that would allow entry into the LNQ ecosystem, which is set to launch before the year-end. Given it is still in the development stage, the launch might even take months.

The LNQ project will allow the users to integrate the features of metaverse with the items they buy in real life. The users will be able to create their unique Avatars known as Auras using this new technology. This will apparently represent the digital identities of the users. Moreover, these identities are customizable just as we make real-life choices. The customization of these auras will be directly connected to the purchases the users make through apps or in physical stores. The NFT ecosystem of Polygon would be the optimal choice for the implementation of this project.
The philosophy of this new project will ensure the participation of community members in making governance-related decisions. The community voting of this project will be powered by the proof-of-Tap feature. This feature will also enable minting and asset collection in the ecosystem. The primary motive behind the development of this feature is to ensure the project’s connectivity with the users. On top of everything, this feature will keep the spirit of decentralization alive within the ecosystem.

This LNQ project will be built on the Polygon ecosystem thanks to the lower gas fees and increased scalability. Furthermore, from the part of Polygon, this new venture will help the network explore the possibilities of web3. Polygon’s recent partnerships and projects focus increasingly on the NFT marketplace and gaming. The network already houses several NFT projects like OpenSea and offers support to the Decentraland metaverse. Now, the arrival of Iddris Sandu’s Spatial Labs could potentially bring the web3 developments of the network to the next stage.
