Solana has announced its Solana Renaissance Hackathon, powered by Colosseum. The online hackathon will run from March 4 to April 8, with several prizes on offer.
The announcement was made on the Solana Foundation’s official X/Twitter channel. The tweet read that prizes and pre-seed funding for the event are up for grabs. Solana also shared a link where users can get more information and conduct the registration process.
Solana shared a bunch of details about the hackathon in a string of tweets. Symmetry, the on-chain asset management infrastructure, is presenting the grand prize for the event. Solana Mobile is sponsoring the consumer apps, while Orca is supporting the DeFi+ payments.
Seeing how the event is one of the most anticipated upcoming hackathons, Solana has joined hands with several more ventures. io.net will support the DePIN while the event structure is designed by Pyth Network.

Phantom, the crypto wallet for DeFi and NFTs, is sponsoring the gaming section. Similarly, the Squads Protocol will take care of the DAOs and Communities part. Solana Hackathon is a business and engineering competition where participants turn ideas into fully-fledged projects within 5 weeks.
What is more, a subset of hackathon prize winners will also get acceptance into Colosseum’s accelerator. Moreover, they will earn 250k dollars as pre-seed capital.
The event also caters to developers trying to become founders. In the past 3 years, the event has accumulated 4,000+ eco products, 60,000+ participants, and a whopping 600 million+ dollars in venture funding.
