SKT has entered into a strategic alliance with Polygon Labs, a globally recognized software development firm specializing in blockchain enhancement frameworks. This momentous partnership was formalized at the headquarters of SKT in Seoul, witnessed by Oh Se-hyun, SKT’s Vice President and Web3 CO Head, and Polygon Labs’ CEO, Marc Boiron. The accord paves the way for the creation of a novel Web3 ecosystem, wherein SKT will take on the responsibility of bolstering the Polygon blockchain on its NFT marketplace, TopPort, and providing support for Web3 wallets.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two entities will collaborate closely to establish an innovative Web3 environment. SKT’s commitment extends to endorsing the Polygon blockchain through its NFT marketplace, TopPort, as well as its Web3 wallet while engaging in a partnership with Polygon Labs to identify and nurture promising Web3 ventures. Polygon Labs has been instrumental in developing cutting-edge blockchain technology to drive the adoption of Web3. Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, expressed his perspective on the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with SKT marks a significant stride towards democratizing Web3 experiences for a broader user base.”
TopPort, which commenced operations last year, is set to not only facilitate the creation of Polygon-based NFTs by its native creators but also offer compatibility and scalability across other NFT platforms within the Polygon ecosystem.
