The past couple of months have been hectic for Orbiter Finance. The platform encountered an attack on its official Discord server back in June. According to reports, the breach led to theft and a fraudulent airdrop.
The attack resulted in a massive financial loss, and questions were raised about the platform’s security. Orbiter Finance took assistance from CertiK Alert, a well-known blockchain security and analytics platform, for the case.
Orbiter Finance users were informed of the attack, and a notice was issued to be cautious about any links related to the platform. Shortly after the attack, the perpetrators launched a phony token and an airdrop event.
However, Orbiter Finance was quick to shoot down the fake airdrop event via social media. It has only been a month since the attack, but the platform has started regaining trust among users.
Fortunately, the breach only resulted in a theft of 213k dollars, an amount Orbiter Finance is capable of earning back. Given the circumstances the platform is facing, the latest integration can be a lifesaver for them.
