Open Campus has been awarded a grant from the Arbitrum Foundation to establish EDU Chain, the first blockchain for education. The Arbitrum Orbit Stack serves as the foundation for the L3 rollup of EDU Chain, a blockchain network exclusively for education.

Many business partners, including Animoca Brands, support Open Campus, a well-known decentralized education protocol. It will extend support to the Arbitrum Ambassador Program, focusing on educational content endeavors. Open Campus will participate in Arbitrum hackathon competitions, which provide incentives to developers who build decentralized applications for blockchain networks designed for education.

The EDU Chain’s objective is to create an ecosystem of decentralized applications that are inclusive of learners and educators. Open Campus is proud to have a large network of educational and Web3 partner organizations.

The new initiative of Open Campus will propel innovation in the EDU Chain landscape and it is inclusive of recording learning accomplishments on-chain, enhancing education finance solutions, and joining hands with the partner community to develop decentralized applications for deployment on the EDU chain. The EDU Chain will enable EDU Chain transactions to be stored on Arbitrum’s Layer 2 solution, which is specifically designed for Ethereum.

Arbitrum is famous for recording the highest total value locked among all L2 networks, and it has eventually become the fifth largest blockchain protocol. Arbitrum’s status as the fifth largest blockchain protocol is followed by prominent L1 blockchains, such as Solana and BSC (Binance Smart Chain).

The EDU Chain will be the first Orbit Chain to concentrate on education, and the collaboration is designed to expand the Open Campus learner base. The Open Campus Foundation will collaborate with 96 Arbitrum ambassadors and 26 affiliated universities to concentrate on educational content. The significance of blockchain technology in resolving contemporary issues is underscored by the new partnership.

The recent collaboration will exquisitely redefine the education industry by taking advantage of decentralization. It will tap the potential of the Arbitrum system to improve access to education for both learners and educators. The team at Arbitrum Foundation is excited to see that Open Campus will start EDU Chain as L3 on the Arbitrum Orbit Stack.

The EDU Chain is a significant milestone in the Arbitrum ecosystem, illustrating the Arbitrum Foundation’s dedication to the development of a decentralized education center within the Arbitrum network.

A prominent community-led protocol, Open Campus is intended for educators, the student community, parents, and content creators. It fosters a collaborative environment that enables faculties to develop educational materials that are tailored to the needs of students in the twenty-first century.

Open Campus commends students and content creators for their endeavors in pursuit of knowledge. The House of Open Campus’s latest initiative has created lucrative revenue streams for exceptional educators worldwide. The Arbitrum Foundation is responsible for developing and promoting the Arbitrum ecosystem.
