OceanEx is delighted to announce that Professor Fei Wang’s Research Lab at Cornell University has been chosen as the first participant for OceanLabs Research Award Program.

OceanEx, an AI-powered virtual asset trading platform launched by BitOcean Global in 2018, is one of the most reliable virtual currency exchanges in the world, which is growing at a fast pace. It is now diverging into research and innovation sector to aid blockchain development. In June 2019, OceanEx launched its research platform, OceanLabs. The aim of which was to incubate ground-breaking projects in partnership with academic research laboratories.

OceanLabs will be hosting its first “Research Awards Program” to facilitate and fund cutting-edge research in the fields of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and areas related to these. Professor Fei Wang’s research proposition is the first one to be chosen for this award program from among many submissions.

Professor Fei Wang is in the position of Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. His area of focus is ‘data mining, machine learning, and their applications in health data science.’ He has published over 200 papers in some of the top journals in the field of artificial intelligence (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, and KDD) and medicine (e.g. JAMA Internal Medicine); these have garnered about 10,000 citations. He features on the editorial board of some of the most prestigious academic journals in his field of specialization. Some of the reputed journals that he is associated with are Scientific Reports, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Data Mining, and Knowledge Discovery.
