Over the past few years, Microsoft has turned around in a decisive way and has returned to its former glories again. However, even during the days when the company was not growing at the expected rate, its gaming console brand XBOX remained a highly popular product. It remains so to this day, but Microsoft is not resting on its laurels and has now decided to further improve the product by announcing the new brand ‘Project Scarlett,’ which will be the fastest console in the company’s history. On Sunday, the company made the major announcement that the next XBOX gaming console is going to be the next generation Project Scarlett and it is going to be the fast one that the company has produced till date.

More importantly, the speed in the console is not going to be just an incremental improvement on the XBOX One X. The new gaming console will be as much as four times faster than the XBOX One X and needless to say, it is a significant development. Gamers these days are extremely conscious of the sort of speed provided by different consoles, and this product could prove to be a game changer for Microsoft. It is going to be powered by an Advance Micro Device chip, and as many as 120 frames will be visible to a player each second. Consequently, games will also load at a much faster pace than in other devices.

It is important to note that Microsoft’s major rival gaming console rival Sony, which produces the PlayStation, has also stated that they are working on a faster console but no release date has yet been announced. The executive vice president at the company, Phil Spencer spoke about some of the features of the product. He said,

Now, the console streaming service will turn your Xbox One into your own personal and free xCloud server. Whether you’re using a console in our data center or your console at home, this October you’ll be able to use our hybrid gaming cloud to play your games wherever you go. Where you play is now entirely your choice.
