Metaplex Foundation introduces the MPL-404, an infrastructure and on-chain protocol.  It is designed to facilitate the transition of fungible and non-fungible assets, which is described as the hybrid DeFi. Nevertheless, Mutant Labs’ SPL-404, a top hybrid DeFi benchmark on Solana, will now be available to the Metaplex Program Library.

Hybrid DeFi gives collectors the option to switch between fungible and non-fungible versions of the same asset, bringing the liquidity of fungible tokens to non-fungible assets. Solana is the most viable chain because it is both cost-effective and highly functional. Through Mutant Labs, Metaplex intends to introduce the necessary equipment for added gamification possibilities.

With MPL-404, developers, creators, and collectors will have access to a new set of tools that can be used to create exciting digital environments powered by Metaplex. This includes token communities that want to strengthen their on-chain identity through NFT collections, NFT projects that want to improve trait re-rolling, and web3 games that want to add loot-box mechanics.

As a part of its plans, Mutant Labs will be offering its SPL-404 swap scheme functions to the Metaplex Program Library (MPL), along with sharing its skills related to the building of fresh hybrid Defi initiatives pertaining to the overall expansion of the MPL-404 ecosystem.

Metaplex aims to enhance its allocation process and provide new hybrid DeFi creative opportunities for builders. This will be achieved through fresh on-chain hybrid schemes for expanding the MPL-404, which includes core and token metadata, as well as strong self-service builder equipment and SDKs.
