Yet again, Democratic Party misses out on crypto as President candidate and VP Kamala Harris proposed her policy positions for future Presidential administration but skipped ‘crypto’ altogether.
The policy position mentioned various concerns including tax cuts for middle-class families and more affordable rents, but cryptocurrency-related topics did not find a mention in the list.
She also mentioned supporting American innovation and workers and comprehensively stated, “Vice President Harris will continue to support American leadership in semiconductors, clean energy, AI, and other cutting edge industries of the future.”

The crypto community had high expectations from Harris and were expecting a future crypto policy that could help mitigate their odds with regulatory bodies and provide a relaxed environment for crypto to thrive. But the actions from Democrats prove otherwise.
Kamala’s crypto-miss echoes a similar episode with the US Senate Chuck Schumer skipping crypto but adding AI in his bipartisan legislative list of priorities, even as he proposed crypto regulations at ‘Crypto4Harris’ event. Thus, Kamala’s crypto-miss, too, does not seem surprising.
Meanwhile, her Presidential opponent, Trump has not left no stone unturned to bring up anything remotely connected to crypto. Doubling down on his crypto stance, US Senator from Wyoming, Cynthia Lummis had recently pitched Bitcoin as the solution for US’ 35 trillion debt as she proposed her Bitcoin Reserve Strategy.
With Trump vs Harris’ Presidential debate being held today, it would be a pivotal moment for both the candidates to openly put forward their crypto stance, and dispel the vagueness around the crypto space.
