Justin Sun, born in the year of Horse (1990), is a Y-generation crypto tycoon. Recently, he made an order for another NFT work—a complete set of twelve Chinese Zodiac Heads, which was put on the Twelve Digital Zodiac Heads Special Auction hosted by Metapoly XM, a brand under Poly Auction (Xiamen) last week and was purchased at a hammer price of around ¥9,832,500 (around 1,545,000 USD).

This unique collection can help Justin stand out as a leading NFT collector, given the Chinese Zodiac Signs are regarded as the essence of traditional Chinese culture, representing the philosophy of Chinese astronomy, calendars, and legendary SAGAs. Every Chinese understands and embraces the meanings and values of zodiac signs.

Apparently, by this new collection, Sun does not forget his cultural identity as a genuine Chinese.

Justin Sun has always been an avid fan of the fast-growing NFT industry, and the latest wave of the NFT craze seems to spark his artistic passion. Unlike traditional collections, the NFT collectors do not need to worry about the issues of pseudo-works as each piece of work is created based on cutting-edge blockchain technology.

Justin boldly spent 500 thousand dollars to purchase an NFT rock last August. The virtual rock could neither be pet nor be taken home, although the price could be on a par with some of Picasso’s work. That NFT rock apparently cannot satisfy Justin’s appetite as an art collector. For now, Sun owns Beeple’s “Ocean Front” NFT piece at the stunning price of $6 million and bought a Joker Tpunk NFT avatar for up to $10.5 million. He has also purchased Andy Warhol and Picasso paintings in terms of the idea of tokenizing the rare art pieces by NFT and donated them to the APENFT Foundation.

The APENFT marketplace, boosted by TRON technology, is a virtual platform for the matchmaking trade-offs of NFT works amid the progression of the METAVERSE era. It is also believed that this collection will be listed on APENFT Marketplace and introduced as rare, special-breed horses into WIN NFT HORSE, a horse racing game co-launched by TRON, the APENFT Foundation, and WINKLink. In addition, Justin Sun has donated a number of well-known works, such as donating Le Nez and Femme nue couchée au collier(Marie-Thérèse) to APENFT Foundation. Justin always wants to do something to support the development of digital art. Will he still donate this collection this time? In my opinion, Justin is very likely to repeat his benevolent action for digital art shortly.

As for the utilization of NFT works, have you ever got any idea of METAVERSE? It is a digital ecosystem that is now gaining more popularity and may become the next-era way of life in the near future. The variety of intangible IP and assets are being constructed and accomplished rapidly, and Digital icons could be intangible assets for citizens living in the METAVERSE environment. The ownership and rights of NFT artworks could be divided and transferred to many minor collectors equally, which may make the purchase of artworks become more popular, feasible, and accessible.

The NFT works will become the NEW DIGITAL RENAISSANCE under the new digital circumstance. Just like someone may have the desire to show off their taste in art, what kind of work would you display in the METAVERSE?
