As observed by ZachXBT, a crypto sleuth, a Bored Ape Yacht Club holder, managed to lose three NFTs, a value of 5,8505 ETH, to a fraudulent character. The figure is equivalent to $164,400. It happened via a phishing threat.

Etherscan, a blockchain AYC NFT transaction, has been utilized in past phishing incidents. However, the occurrence is still unclear.

According to reports from OpenSea, the Bored Ape NFTs included BAYC #7531, 6736, and 2100. Their value is 21 ETH or $62,960 – 15,8505 WETH or $47,500 and 18 ETH or $54,000, respectively.

BAYC #753 consists of an attribute of white fur, a rare commodity. BAYC #6736 comes with a small grin attribute, and BAYC #2100 has the bored pizza character.

Despite the highly valued Bored Ape NFTs missing, the bottom prices have declined in the past couple of months. The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s bottom costs dropped to 15.09 ETH. The collection managed to rake in $13.3 million in trade volume.

According to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations, phishing scams utilize spoofing methods to bait potential victims and convince them to part with personal information. The highest figure was $24 million from a single individual.
