Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery’s official trailer and Hobock’s statements don’t categorically mention that Nakamoto has been identified, even though Hoback and HBO did hint at this doxxing of Nakamoto.
“MoneyElectric: The Bitcoin Mystery” will be broadcasted on HBO on Oct. 8.
The moving tracking the identity of Bitcoin’s creator has once again sparked the curiosity amongst crypto enthusiasts as several other personalities have claimed to be Nakamoto in the past after the anonymous figure went inactive in December 2010. Craig Wright, a computer scientist associated with Bitcoin’s development, had previously claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto. His attempt to prove his identity as Nakamoto in 2016 cost him legal issues and severe backlash from the crypto community.
Director Cullen Hoback’s previous works include the popular HBO miniseries “Q: Into the Storm” where he claims to reveal the identities of several QAnon conspiracy theory authors.
