Gunzilla Games manages for itself the amount of $30 million through a funding round initiated by CoinFund and Blizzard Fund of Avalanche.

Gunzilla Games is the builder responsible for the imminent video game Off-the-Grid”. It is a free-to-play, battle royale video game that will duly be delivered on Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, and PC. This latest third-party shooter game has adopted the game-changing idea of total asset ownership and a player-oriented in-game economy.

As per the company, the $30 million funding comes with a $10 million calculated token round, the companies partaking in this being Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures. This fresh funding comes after a funding round amounting to $46 million that Gunzilla Games received in August 2022.

Blockchain-oriented shooter video games are seemingly advancing. Off-the-Grid will be amongst top-notch games like Studio 369’s MetalCore and the extraction shooter Shrapnel. Till the present point in time, crypto games involving trading of digital assets and owning have not been as advanced.

According to the Co-Founder and CEO of Gunzilla Games, Vlad Korolov, with Off-the-Grid and GUNZ on its way, the audience will be introduced to a fresh chapter in blockchain gaming. In his opinion, the game will come with exceptional AAA exposure.

In the words of the Partner and Director of research at CoinFund, Evan Feng, the chasm between conventional and on-chain games is slowly being bridged and will exploit the complete potential of blockchain technology.

Gunzilla Games, together with GUNZ, is a blockchain-boosted platform that allows Gunzilla and various AAA game builders to strengthen players by having complete ownership of in-game products. These are in the form of tradable NFTs on on-chain marketplaces and mobile applications. Incidentally, the GUNZ testnet was introduced in April 2023.

As per an employee at Ava Labs and Head of Blizzard Fund, Lydia Chiu, Off-the-Grid contains Web3 pieces such as complicated wallets and NFT acquiring within the neutral gameplay. This provides blockchain gaming exposure to connected gamers.
