Google Cloud has announced the launch of a new Blockchain RPC (Remote Procedure Call) service today to support Web3 developers. Blockchain RPC helps developers to interact with blockchain data and provides a cost-effective, scalable, and reliable solution for an easy managing node infrastructure.

Blockchain RPC supports Ethereum JSON-RPC standard and lets developers integrate it into their applications with a single line of code. As per the official announcement, “The service also launches with support for Ethereum mainnet and testnets, and including several additional chains over the next year.”

With this service, one can easily transition from existing RPC providers by simply changing their RPC endpoints.

The Blockchain RPC service has enterprise-grade reliability that leverages Google Cloud infrastructure and ensures a dependable foundation for developers’ applications. Unlike dedicated nodes, Blockchain RPC is cost effective, it offers up to 100 requests per second and 1 million requests per day in the free tier.

Kyle Quintal, Head of Engineering at 0xArc said, “Google Cloud’s Blockchain RPC offerings deliver fast response times — exactly what you’d expect from them.” Quintal further added, “Coupled with the fact that Google Cloud follows the EIP1474 standards and has the free-tier option, we integrated its service into our system right away and haven’t looked back.”
