According to the reports, ETC Labs’ core team, ETCCore’s version of multi-geth, will now be linked to a new repo with the same code base but with a different name “core-geth.” Multi-geth serves as a node client implementation of the globally acclaimed platforms, namely Ethereum Classic, Ethereum network, and other top-rated eth-supporting ecosystems.
The reports suggest that Wei Tang, who is the main developer and creator of Multi-Geth, had started separating himself from the highly anticipated project essentially on the ETC side due to some undisclosed reasons. The loss of the node client is likely to bring in negative repercussions on the decentralization of node implementations in the immensely popular and efficient ETC network.
