ECC has launched Zashi, a mobile wallet that enables its users to transact Zcash or ZEC. Additionally, it empowers users to undertake other functions as well, like shielding digital assets and collateralizing the token. Zashi is available on iOS at the moment. The launch on Android is slated to happen at the end of April this year, which is April 2024. The vision is to make Zashi an all-in-one UX hub for the users of the platform.

Termed Zashi 1.0, the mobile wallet comes loaded with several features on top of transacting the token. It comes with a fully developed, built-in mechanism for submitting feedback and seeking support from the team. It extends a helping hand to Sapling and Orchard pools. Most importantly, the UI is clean and simple for seamless operations. However, sending and receiving the token at a near-instant speed remains at the heart of the stage.

Zashi 1.0 is anticipated to advance further in the future. It has been requested that users provide feedback regarding their experiences. Additionally, they have the ability to offer valuable suggestions to the team, which can significantly advance their progress and contribute to the betterment of the community.

Prioritizing security is an objective of ECC in order to instill confidence among users regarding the safety of their funds while using the platform. The user interface has been designed to inspire users with confidence, thereby reducing the amount of time they spend learning how to use the platform.

The emphasis is also on making the function accessible across average Apple and Android mobile devices. This means that users should own high-end models or only update them once. Users with decent models of the said mobile OS are being ensured accessibility without having to make any kind of update or upgrade to their devices.

Zashi has been built to make the fees visible to all users so that nothing strikes the end as a shock. Privacy is good enough for users to do well in protecting them from the surveillance of actors in most situations. While it has made its way into the market via iOS, Zashi will enter the list of cryptocurrency wallets once it goes live on Android devices. The list currently houses the likes of Electrum, Trezor, and ZenGo, among others.

An official statement from the team mentions that Zashi comes with several brand attributes: trust, authenticity, freedom, togetherness, and optimism, to mention a few. The team has also explored the aspect of marketing where the name can serve as a verb. For instance, just PayPall me; for Zashi, it would translate to just Zashi me, according to the official statement.
