The Global Blockchain Show is pleased to announce David Chaum, Founder of XX Network, as one of its esteemed speakers. On December 12 and 13, 2024, David Chaum will join over 3,000 Web3 Founders and developers, more than 100 speakers, and over 100 investors for a two-day festival at the Grand Hyatt Exhibition Centre in Dubai.

David Chaum was a key figure in advancing privacy in modern communication, having invented mix nets and multiparty computation. His work established the groundwork for secure voting systems, anonymous internet browsing (including the Dark Web and TOR Network), and DigiCash, the first cryptocurrency that served as a precursor to Bitcoin and facilitated anonymous transactions.

David Chaum is currently leading XX Network, a fully private, quantum-secure decentralized messaging and payment platform. He is also collaborating with the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) on innovative technologies for CBDC digital currencies.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and has taught at NYU Graduate School of Business and the University of California. David founded the International Association for Cryptologic Research, established the Cryptography Group at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam, and created DigiCash.
In 1995, his company, DigiCash, created and deployed eCash, the first digital currency, which used Chaum’s breakthrough blind signature protocol. David’s notable projects include digital blind signatures, multiparty computation, and random sample voting.
