Crypto exchange CoinList announced on Thursday that it would be teaming up with TQ Tezos to host the first CoinList Tezos Hackathon of 2020. As per the official tweet, the hackathon will run between May 25 to June 25, and rewards worth $25,000 will be up for grabs.

In a subsequent tweet, CoinList informed that there would be four judges for the hackathon, namely, Sam McIngvale of Coinbase, Alison Mangiero, and Katzleen Brrr of Tezos, Spencer Noon of DTC Capital. Other partners for the hackathon include Cryptonomic, LIGO Lang, SmartPy.io, Stove Labs, Taquito, and others.
A Medium post shared by CoinList states that hackathon contestants will build applications in three categories, DeFi, games, and oracles, which will help in the development of the Tezos Blockchain’s ecosystem. It further added that they are excited to work with Tezos for three reasons – Inherent Network Upgradeability, Institutional-Grade Smart Contracts, and Continuity Focused Governance.

Prize distribution for the Blockchain – DeFi hackathon will be as follows:
DeFi — $5,000 for first place; $3,000 for second place
Games, collectibles, and in-game assets — $4,000 for first place; $2,000 for second place
Oracles and bridging real-world data to Tezos — $4,000 for first place; $2,000 for second place
