BTC.com, a digital currency platform recently declared that they are organizing ‘Bitcoin Cash Hackathon’ in Europe. The event is scheduled to take place in the Rockstart HQ in Amsterdam, from October 27-28, 2018.

The hackathon contains two tracks. In one track, you can create a product using the Cash blockchain. Also, you can design a product that utilizes tools such as opcodes, big blocks, Wormhole, tokens, and smart contracts. The second track consists of pioneering programs based on Bitcoin, Lightning Network, Ethereum, and you can also build a cool product using the blockchain of your choice.

The prizes for both the tracks are €3,500 and €1,500 respectively, which will be paid in BCH. Interested participants can register through the website www.hackathon.cash.

Utilise imagination in 32 hours

The time span of the hackathon will be 32 hours. The event will start off after a welcome breakfast followed by a registration session on Saturday morning. Mentors will then go through the rules and challenges, then a technical deep dive and team planning will take place. From noon, the hackathon officially starts.

On Sunday, all the teams will present their projects before the other groups, and a panel of judges will give scores build upon the utility, usability, creativity, and functionality of each final product.

Interaction

The blockchain hackathon will take place two weeks before Bitcoin Cash’s scheduled network upgrade, enabling brainstorming and productive conversations between blockchain engineers, Bitcoin Cash developers, tech entrepreneurs, designers, and scrum masters. The blockchain hackathon event is going to cater to anyone interested in the blockchain, be it a beginner or an expert, and thereby contribute to utilizing the decentralized network to build innovative applications.

As mentioned earlier, the event is organized by BTC.com. It provides trusted bitcoin wallet and is supported by leading Bitcoin mining manufacturer, Bitmain.
