Hollywood’s reach into non-fiction continues to grow! WME, one of Hollywood’s major talent agencies, has signed Escape Plan, the Bored Ape DJ duo.

“Stoked announced that we’ve signed with @WME for all bookings!” the duo tweeted. Thank you, @THR, for spreading the message.”

Escape Plan is made up of bored apes #309 and #4321, also known as zETH and ETHan.

Justin Bieber, Steve Aoki, Eminem, and The Chainsmokers are among the musicians and celebrities who have purchased Bored Ape NFTs. NFTs are one-of-a-kind blockchain tokens that represent ownership of an asset, such as a Bored Ape, on a network like Ethereum.

Artist Dillon Francis recently completed a stint with Big Night Talent, the company that manages Escape Plan. In exchange, he received the NFT #378 of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

The Bored Ape duo is planning to collaborate with Francis on a number of tunes later this year. In an interview with Decrypt, the artist revealed that all of the duo’s videos would be animated and contain a lot of Bored Apes.

“I needed an Ape so that I could be in Escape Plan’s music videos,” Francis explained.

They’ve already released their debut track, “Jungle,” featuring rapper Rich the Kid as a DJ duo. The two NFT avatars will collaborate with WME on various endorsements and other initiatives that will utilize their IP.

Tim Bonito, the duo’s manager, sees Escape Plan as a blend of Web2 and Web3. Electronic artists, he told Decrypt, are among the most responsive to NFTs.
