Leading crypto-blockchain company of the world, Binance announced on Wednesday that it had joined the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). In the official tweet, the company quoted CEO Changpeng Zhao, who said that they want to further the blockchain acceleration in the Asian powerhouse.

In the announcement on the website, Binance stated that it had joined the crypto-asset exchange committee of IAMAI. Commenting on the move, CZ said that the company had been dedicated to promote and develop the Indian crypto-blockchain industry and supports businesses that are solving social or industrial problems. He also credited the ‘Blockchain for India Fund,’ which was created to support the country’s blockchain ecosystem.

Popular crypto influencer and media portal Crypto Kanoon termed Binance joining IAMAI as a historic event for the industry. Kashif Raza, the founder of Crypto Kanoon, shared a video on Twitter, in which he said that Binance brings new dimensions to the association, making it big enough for the government to notice. He added that Binance’s direct entry into the Indian crypto space adds a lot of weight for bargaining with the administration on crypto regulations.
