OpenSea is to take the sale of the Bowie On The Blockchain project live on September 13 in collaboration with We Love The Arts and The David Bowie Estate with a commitment that 100% of the profits will be directed towards the CARE charity.
The Bowie On The Blockchain project brings together nine NFT artists who will pay tribute to the legend with their unique NFT creation that is all set to launch in September. Iman serves as the first-ever Global Advocate for the humanitarian organization.
The aim is to keep up with the legacy David Bowie left for the world. It took off from the point where David Bowie announced the BowieArt Project to champion the artwork of artists on his dedicated web space.

Bowie On The Blockchain project has been termed a unique NFT project as it features nine artists putting up multiple NFT collections for sale, with 100% proceeds being given to the charity.
Ryan Foutty, the Vice President of Business Development at OpenSea, called David Bowie an icon to express the honor on behalf of the entire team in bringing his legacy into Web3. Ryan Foutty called the NFT collection incredible and added that it brings together the most groundbreaking NFT artists with Bowie artifacts to bring a new generation of fans together in Web3.
It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to engage with the Bowie Estate, stated Andrew Keller, Co-Founder of We Love The Arts. Andrew Keller mentioned that David Bowie had a deep impact on his life, adding that he was hopeful of the collection serving to record the ethos of Bowie On The Blockchain while bringing all the artists under the spotlight.
David Bowie, born on January 08, 1947, died on January 10, 2016. His final album was released on January 08, 2016, which marked his 69th birthday. The release topped the chart in more than 20 countries, winning five Grammy Awards.
