Animoca Brands has announced launching Formula E: High Voltage on October 19, 2023. This is an addition to the category of NFT games, wherein new players will be rewarded with a total of 4 NFTs at the beginning of their journey. This includes two cars and two drivers; the capabilities of all of them will be subject to upgrades. This will further form an imperative part of winning races as the game progresses.

In this game, players can acquire more NFTs. This will represent the in-game assets that they will own. Formula E: High Voltage is being launched in association with Amber. It leverages the capabilities of Flow Blockchain—energy efficiency, to be more specific. The abilities of the drivers will be assigned at random from a pool of more than 100 skills. Every skill and capability of the NFT will help players tackle challenges, including, but not limited to, weather conditions and the timing of the race, whether day or night.

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship tracks have been incorporated into the game. This stretches across Berlin, Rome, London, and New York. Formula E: High Voltage is more intriguing because official brands will be available as NFTs. This will be associated with official cars and pilots, such as the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric GEN3 and Jake Dennis. Other NFTs in the game will hail from different rarities, namely common, rare, epic, and legendary.

The game is a component of REVV Motorsport’s ecosystem. Other similar games in the ecosystem are MotoGP Guru and MotoGP Ignition. Players who are interested in exploring the segment as a whole can view more play to earn NFT games like Cryptokitties, Spider Tanks, and Alpha League Racing. The mechanics of the titles are the same: own an in-game NFT and engage with the content.

Kieran Holmes-Darby, the gaming director of Formula E: High Voltage, has expressed their excitement with the launch of the game, saying that Animoca Brands has proved to be a leader in the industry and they are confident of its success. In addition, Holmes has voiced confidence by claiming that the game’s audience will have a good time.

Formula E: High Voltage’s launch, according to Will Griffiths, VP of Commercial Strategy at Animoca Brands, is an exciting time because it will allow fans and players to interact with the content while benefiting from the ownership of digital assets made possible by blockchain technology and NFTs.

Amber’s Chief of Innovation Vertical Marty Caplan has expressed delight at being able to extend this offer to players and fans. In addition, according to Marty, Formula E: High Voltage has been a great way to incorporate their knowledge, enthusiasm, and interest in technological progress into a video game.
